TSEF - Trans Safety Emergency Fund

Der Trans Safety Emergency Fund ist auf dem Weg zur offiziellen NGO und wird so seinen Platz in einer Vielfalt von Einrichtungen einnehmen, die sich öffentlichkeitswirksam für die Umverteilung von Vermögen und die Unterstützung von Trans Anliegen in Europa engagieren. Für dieses Vorhaben ist der Kontakt und Austausch mit gleichgesinnten Einrichtungen und NGOs unabdingbar. Den Rahmen dafür bietet die Gala von TSEF, mit einer Nacht, die in Erinnerung bleiben wird.

Mit der TSEF Gala Night erhalten Vertreter:innen von regionalen NGOs, Regierungsorganisation und Partnereinrichtungen die Gelegenheit, Verbündeten und Schlüsselfiguren der Community zu begegnen und Einblick in die Arbeit von TSEF zu erhalten. An diesem Abend soll hervorragend gegessen, erlesen getrunken und ein hinreißendes Panorama von Darbietungen bekannter und neuer Kunstschaffenden aus der LGBTQIA+ Gemeinde gezeigt werden. Ein außergewöhnliches Line-Up von DJs aus der Schweizer Szene sorgt für Sounds, schräge Auktionen geben Anreiz zum spenden, während TSEF seine Mission, Ziele und Visionen erläutert. Der Vorstand des TSEF freut sich darauf, Euch alle an der Gala Night zu begrüßen, um mit Eurer Hilfe dieses Projekt auf den Weg zu bringen, das so vielen Menschen Hilfestellung leisten kann. 

The Trans Safety Emergency Fund is on its way to become an official NGO, taking space in the spectrum of organisations that are active and prominent  when it comes to wealth redistribution and support towards Trans causes in central Europe. However, for that to happen, reaching major attention and recognition from peer institutions and like minded NGOs is mandatory. And for that, the TSEF plans to throw a night not to be forgotten. 

The TSEF Gala Night will be an event where representatives of important local NGOs, Governmental Organizations, partner institutions, allies and key members of our community will have a space and time to get to know each other better and the TSEF work as an institution. The Gala is a project that envisions offering a night of fine eating and drinking, accompanied by the most delightful performances from local renowned and fresh artists of the LGBTQIA+ community, music lead by an outstanding lineup of DJs from the Swiss scene, and fun auctions that will enhance the engagement of the attending public to donate while getting acquaintance with the mission, goals and vision of the TSEF. The TSEF Board is delighted to meet you all in the Gala Night where we, with your help, will be able to launch this project that is going to help us support so many people.

About
The TSEF - Trans Safety Emergency Fund is a newly established association, and the first BIPoC and Trans-lead fund based in Switzerland focused on supporting Trans lives financially.

What unites us is our work within and for the LGBTQIA+ community in various forms. By sharing this common space, we have realized how the lack of quick and low-threshold support towards Trans/Queer bodies is, unfortunately, a pattern in Switzerland and around the world.

We took things into our own hands by creating this fund to gather and redistribute money and support to disenfranchised people on the Trans spectrum. Our Trans siblings, and especially Trans siblings of color, are and have historically been subjects of unforeseen violence, abuse and negligence in general society and within the LGBTQIA+ community itself.

We are blessed to find ourselves in a privileged space, living in a country like Switzerland. Therefore, we feel like it is our duty to redistribute resources and empower our people.

DIVAS unterstützt den künstlerischen Austausch und queere Freundschaften in der Gegenwartsperformance. Das Projekt ist ein vielschichtiges Alter Ego und ein kreatives Netzwerk für diejenigen, die Licht, Hitze, Feuchtgebiete teilen wollen. DIVAS wurde 2016 von Rafał Pierzyński and Aga Pędziwiatr initiiert und ist seither in Zürich basiert.

Auf Einladung von zürich moves! Forever Imbricated, erklärt DIVAS seine Residenz in der BINZ39 zu einem Raum der prozessualen Verwandlung.

Ein temporärer Space verbindet sich mit anderen Räumen, ermöglicht Begegnungen rund um eine Recherche der Berührungen. Während eines Monats werden sich Rafał Pierzyński/DIVAS und weitere geladene Kunstschaffende in diesem Space aufhalten, ihn verändern und ihre Erkenntnisse miteinander und mit einer interessierten Öffentlichkeit teilen.

DIVAS supports artistic exchange and queer friendships in the field of performing arts. It is a multifold alter ego and a creative network for those who want to share their light, their heat, their wetness. The project was initiated by Rafał Pierzyński and Aga Pędziwiatr in 2016 in Zurich. 

Upon invitation from zürich moves! Forever Imbricated, DIVAS take up residence at Binz39. 

A temporary space emerging with urgency within another space to, like a skin, enfolds and nourishes DIVAS encounters and their research on touching. Over the course of a month Rafał Pierzyński together with invited artists transform the space and share practices with each other, including the audience of the festival.

About
Rafał Pierzyński (1991, Poland) currently based in Zürich. Their performance practice is deeply rooted in the personal experience and artistic research of touching. Expanding the idea of touch, from a queer perspective they explore entanglements of technology and nature revolving in virtual, corporeal trans-reality of bodies dancing together. In their interdisciplinary projects, they are often creating immersive performances on the borders of installation and treatment.

Ideenfindungstechniken für die interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit
Pilu Lydlow - SPACE CAMP
Workshop

In der zeitgenössischen künstlerischen Arbeit sind oft interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit und Co-Kreation Teil des kreativen Prozesses. Beteiligte mit sehr unterschiedlichen Fähigkeiten sollen ein Ganzes bilden und zusammenarbeiten, obwohl sie mit unterschiedlichen Perspektiven beteiligt sind. Ideenentwicklungs-Techniken können solch interdisziplinäre und diverse Teams unterstützen, um gemeinsam Neues entstehen zu lassen – mit dem Ziel, ein multiperspektivisches Projekt zu entwickeln. 

In diesem Workshop erhalten die Teilnehmenden erste Einblicke in diese Techniken in dem sie sie erfahren.  

In contemporary artistic work, interdisciplinary collaboration and co-creation are often part of the creative process. Participants with very different skills are expected to work flawlessly together, even though they are involved with different perspectives. Ideation techniques can support such interdisciplinary and diverse teams to create something new together - with the aim of developing a multi-perspective project. 

In this workshop, participants will gain first insights into these techniques by experiencing them. 

About
Pilu Lydlow was born in London and raised in Cologne and Frankfurt. She studied drama at ZHdK in Zürich and recently accomplished a Master of Art in Digital Management at Hyper Island, London. Pilu Lydlow is working at Swiss Radio and Television (SRF). In her current role as a format developer Pilu Lydlow supports, coaches, and leads interdisciplinary content development teams. She designs and facilitates content development processes and workshops.

Die Recherche richtet sich auf Stimme, Lyrics, Vocals im queeren Nachtleben. Dazu gehören unter anderem die Vokalisten von House Music in den späten 1980ern und frühen 1990ern. Den Anfang gibt mir das laut Lesen (von Lyrics) als Übung, um darüber einen Einblick zu erhalten in das Objekt Stimme (das Objekt der Stimme) und dessen Rolle in der Hervorbringung von Begehren. Gesprochene Worte, Vocals und Vokalisten beflügeln die Wirkung von Musik. Indem wir zurück in diese gemeinsamen Räume eines klar verortetem Ausdrucks finden (und zur Frage, wie sich unsere Individualität in der Gemeinschaft ausdrückt), öffnen wir den Weg in einen neuen Kontext. House und Pop Music stehen mit ihrer Nähe zur «anderen Seite» und «Spiritualität» in einem klaren Bezug zur Sexualität, die oft im Stimmlichen wurzelt. Wenn die Musik einen transzendenten Raum erzeugt, so ist es die Stimme, die sie zurück auf die Erde holt. Einige interessante theoretische Überlegungen zur „Stimme“ als Objekt finden sich in Kaja Silvermans «The Acoustic Mirror», in dem die Rolle der weiblichen Stimme im Kino untersucht wird, und Mladen Dolars «Verkörperungen» von dem, was Lacan das «Objekt klein a» nennt, in diesem Kontext das Objekt Stimme als das, was uns als unerreichbarer Grund des Begehrens entgegentritt. 

The research focuses on voice, lyrics and vocals of Queer night life. Some study cases will be the late 1980 ́s and early 1990 ́s vocalists of House Music. I will start by practicing reading (lyrics) to ultimately investigate the object voice (voice object) and the role it plays in the production of desire. Spoken words, vocals and vocalist are specially fundamental to music’s affect, by revisiting those common places with situated expressivities, (How individuality is enacted through commons) we make them travel into new belongings. House and Pop Music sense of «beyondness» and «spirituality» is straight forward connected to sexuality and is often rooted in the voice. If music opens a space of transcendence, it might be the voice which brings it back to earth. Some interesting theoretical arguments that look into «the voice» as an object are Kaja Silverman ́s «The acoustic mirror» which studies the roll of the female voice in cinema and Mladen Dolar ́s «A voice and nothing more» which studies the object voice as the «one of the paramount «embodiments» of what Lacan called objet petit a», this means: the «object voice» as that which stands for the unattainable object of desire.

About
Luis Garay (1981, Bogotá , Colombia). Through choreographic systems I create landscapes and environments that destabilize our ideas of productivity, time and presence. I’ve named each of the projects: Temporal Objects. I often work with ecstatic bodies. I am interested in approaching the body, the mind, the psychological, the social and the intimate as always interconnected, as a moebious strip. I am interested in the force of iteration. I was invited to direct the residencies for artists LOTE1, Sao Paulo and OUTRAS DANCAS, Porto Alegre, Brazil. I recently presented my research at ARCO, Madrid Contemporary Art Fair, Walker Art Center USA, Pompidou Metz France, Transform Festival Leeds, Rhom Theater Japan,Kyoto Experiment, Japan, Panorama Festival Rio de Janeiro, Malta Festival Poznan among others.

Our Bodies Keep The Score: Remembrance

Wie weit ist der Raum zwischen Erde und Himmel, und können unsere Erinnerungen ihn füllen? Mit diesem Projekt erschaffen wir Rituale, um den Himmel zu stützen, indem wir Gedächtnisorte für Trauer herstellen. Über Musik, Bewegung und Tanz erkunden wir unsere Überzeugung, dass dem Körper ein Gedächtnis innewohnt für die vielen Ereignisse, die ihm im Laufe eines Lebens begegnen. Die Recherche untersucht unser Verhältnis zu Erinnerung, sie schafft einen Raum für Innehalten und Reflektionen. Wir teilen unsere Erinnerungen in der Bewegungsarbeit, in der wir die Verkörperungen vergangener Erfahrungen wiederfinden.

How sizeable is the space between Earth and the sky, and can our memories fill it? With this project, we are imagining rituals that support the standing of the sky by creating memorials for mournings. Using music, movements, and dance, this gesture is grounded in the believe that our bodies keep the score of the different events occurring in our lives. This research is dissecting our relation to memories, allowing a space of reflexion and contemplation. It is a moment of shared remembrance where our primary material is our movements, which we now perceive as embodied recollections of the past.

About
With music, performance art, and film, Soraya Lutangu Bonaventure is attempting to materialize feelings dwelling between empathy, mourning, and celebration. Her practice allows the creation of practical and speculative languages while finding new ways to belong in the culture continuum of Otherness. By addressing questions of displacement and the diasporic imaginary within a decolonial context, Bonaventure builds expressive systems of repairs that value the poetic notions of Blackness, queerness, technology, and spirituality.

Das Limitrofe Television Kollektiv wurde 2017 gegründet als Gefäß für unsere Interessen und Anliegen und als Vehikel, das der mangelhaften Programmierung und Umsetzung von audiovisuellen Projekten in einem überwiegend weißen cis-normativen System Gegensteuer bieten kann. Innerhalb dieser Welt ist eine Teilhabe für uns nicht möglich, es sei denn, es gelingt uns, einen Raum für unsere Identitäten zu schaffen und unsere Kollektivkräfte zu erkennen und zu bündeln, eine Mission, die weit mehr will als nur das Überleben in einer lebensfeindlichen Welt. Wir arbeiten Tag für Tag daran, unsere Lebenswelten physisch und psychisch zu erweitern, ohne das Gleichgewicht ganz zu verlieren, und all denjenigen, die aus ihrem Elend nicht herauskommen können, eine gangbare Alternative aufzuzeigen. Mit allen Mitteln, die uns zur Verfügung stehen, streben wir danach, unsere Träume Wirklichkeit werden zu lassen. Gegründet wurde das Kollektiv von Enantios Dromos, Transmann, ursprünglich aus Pindorama, ein Multimedia-Künstler, der mit seiner VHS-Kamera unsere Geschichte aufzeichnet, und Pe Ferreira aus Brasilian, non-binäre Trans und künstlerisch, bildschaffend, multimedial im Einsatz. Erweitert wird das Kollektiv durch Kreative aus dem TBIPOC Umfeld, alle aus Lateinamerika, alle Trans, die unsere Kollektivexistenz definieren und in die Realität eines Wach-Traums überführen.  

Limitrofe Television collective emerged in 2017, through meeting our individual needs, and our ambition to deprogram the way audiovisual projects are badly programmed and executed, based and centered on a massively white-cis-normative system. The impossibility of our bodies to be part of these means - without demarcating our identity and creating our own space, awakened and intensified our collective powers, which seek much more than just surviving in this unlivable world. Working daily, physically and mentally to expand our possibilities of existence, in a minimally stable way, envisioning a prosperous path, for those who really need to leave misery behind, using all our tools to transcribe our fantasy into reality, our collective is founded by Enantios Dromos, trans men original from Pindorama, multimedia artist, Enantios Dromos, who in his tapes records and transcribes our history through our eyes, and co-founded by Pe ferreira, Brazilian, non-binary trans, multimedia artist focused on image making; and constituted by other TBIPOC creatives, all Latin American and trans, which aggregate and transform our collective existence in a real life fantasy.
