Ein Dinner Abend mit Musik, «music flowing like a river, light like a bird», auf Einladung von Asian Eyez.

Tibetanische Musik verfügt über ein komplexes musikalisches Notationssystem, das die Weitergabe heiliger Klänge und Zeremonien von einer Generation zur nächsten ermöglicht.

Eine Form, der eigenen Hingabe Ausdruck zu verleihen, Dämonen abzuwehren, Gottheiten anzurufen. Oft enthält sie auch detaillierte Anweisungen zur Art, wie die Musik gesungen werden soll (etwa: fließend wie ein Bach, schwerelos wie Vogelgesänge)

Tibetan music has complex systems of musical notation that allows for the transference of sacred sound and ceremony across generations.

A means to express devotion, ward off feral spirits, and invoke deities. It frequently contains detailed instructions concerning in what spirit the music should be sung (e.g. flowing like a river, light like bird song).

Secret Ending ist das zweite Projekt von Flying Lodge, eine Form von Sound Theater, das sich zur Aufgabe gesetzt hatte, mit Blick auf ein queer-kodiertes Storytelling kommunale, flüchtige Räume des Feierns zu eröffnen. Tracks-Wellen formen die Atmosphäre und werden von den Wahrheiten in ihr geformt. Ein zusammengefügtes Patchwork von Einheit kollabiert im Sound, Wellen bringen den Luftraum medial zum Leuchten, lassen Diskurs entstehen, „Luft“, „Entfernung“ als etwas, das uns bestimmen will, das uns hervorbringt. „Uns“ meint in diesem Fall den Kollaps selbst, ähnlich wie ein Berg, der dasitzt, flüssig und blau, dröhnend, in keinem Moment wirklich still.

Secret Ending is the second installment of the Flying Lodge, a sound theater of sorts initially intended to create communal, ephemeral spaces of celebration toward queer-coded storytelling. Tracks wave shape the air and are shaped by it in truth, too. The crafted patchwork of unity collapses into sound, wave shaping the air into brightness a medium, shaping discourse or «the air» or «distance» that we are subjected by/subject to. «We» being, in this case, a collapse in itself, similarly to the mountain being there, liquid and blue, booming, never really in silence.

The compilation will be available to download starting April 14, 2022.

All proceeds will be split and donated to @artriststatrisk and @strehalgbt.

Technosomatics Workshop

Technosomatics ist eine Bewegungspraxis, die von Frédéric Gies entwickelt und in unterschiedlichen Workshop-Formaten weitergegeben wird. Die Praxis besteht in der individuellen und kollektiven Erforschung der endokrinen Drüse (ein zentrales chemisches System in unserem Körper) und den Chakras (Energiezentren) mittels Tanzen zu Technomusik im Clubrahmen und umgekehrt: als Erforschung von Club Dance aus der Perspektive der endokrinen Drüse und der Chakras. Die Praxis findet mit geschlossenen Augen, in einem stockdunklen Raum statt. Sie betont das Erleben des Körpers und befasst sich mit einem alternativen Mapping, das dem Mainstream der wissenschaftlichen Kartographierung des Körpers sowohl entspricht als auch von ihm abweicht. Als eine Form von Meditation in Bewegung sucht sie trance-artige Bewusstseinszuständen auf und sieht heilendes Potential im Akt des Tanzes. Sie versteht den Dance Floor als ein Instrument der Selbsterkundung und als Möglichkeit, den Raum der Wahrnehmung zu erweitern.

Technosomatics is a movement practice developed by Frédéric Gies who shares it in various workshop formats. It consists of a collective and individual exploration of the endocrine glands (the major chemical system of our body) and the chakras (energy centers) through club dancing to techno music as wells as the opposite: an exploration of club dancing while embodying the endocrine glands and the chakras. It is practiced mostly with eyes closed, in a pitch-dark room. It emphasizes the experiential body and explores alternative maps, which both match and deviate from the mainstream scientific map of the body. As a form of meditation in movement, it explores trancelike states of consciousness and acknowledges the healing potential of the act of dancing. It also approaches club dance as a tool for self-discovery and for expanding the range of our perceptions.

About
Frédéric Gies is a dancer and choreographer based in Sweden. They present their works nationally and internationally in various contexts, including dance venues, music festivals and museums. Oscillating between clockwork composition and the intensities and chaos generated by dancing bodies surrendering to the desires and forces that traverse them, their dance pieces bring to the forefront the capacity of dance to speak without having to demonstrate anything. Drawing from their former training in ballet, their encounter with specific trends of contemporary dance, their dance floor experiences in techno clubs and raves and their study of somatic practices, they approaches form as possibilities rather than constraints.
